The next technique we're going to use to take that mind map and store it into long term memory is memory palaces. Now the memory palace, we're gonna use your bedroom. sounds quite weird, quite abstract. But remember something that's possible vivid and abstract. It's gonna work best for that limbic brain to remember. So we're going to enter your house, but we're going to do it in a clockwise fashion.

Now I need you to on your paper, label these items. So, draw your room, have your bed desk, Yuto, whatever furniture you have in your room in a clockwise fashion, as if you were entering through the door on each of those items, or clockwise fashion by number 12345 on each piece of furniture, that these are going to hold different pieces of information. But what you need to make sure is that you're familiar with this room, you can't use a room you never been in. So that's why we're gonna use your bedroom. Hopefully you're in it right now. And then you have to make sure that you don't reuse this room.

With different bits of information. So we'll use this as an example your mind maps on speed reading, and more specifically, memory. So you're on the memory section of your mind map. But you can also put the speed reading stuff on top of that. If you've got five bits of information for memory, that's one item on each domain, then put five bits of speeding information on top of that furniture, you can't reuse it. So what I want you to do is place one bit of information on one of those little tendons and put that on one bit of furniture.

Say for example with this. So every time you think of sight, visual images, you remember your desk and keep doing that for your room and have a little game with yourself usually cool. And of course, we've you say to yourself, okay, what's on my desk? Oh, yes, especially images, and then actually have maybe a picture frame on your desk once again, using visual images iconic. And then the next stage you have chunkin so maybe you have your credit. Caught on your bed.

But test yourself when you walk into your room, always going to clockwise fashion. This way you'll be able to remember large bits of information using your mind map as a note taking strategy and store that into your long term memory.
