Now it's your turn, I'm going to give you a choice. In this assignment, you get to pick one topic. And then I want you to record yourself telling a story. You get to choose, I'd like to know any one of the following. What's the worst thing that ever happened to you as a kid as a child? What's the best thing that ever happened to you?

You don't want to talk about your childhood. That's okay. Talk about your proudest accomplishment professionally as an adult. Or talk about the worst thing you've ever done in your career, your biggest blunder your biggest mistake, I want you to try to incorporate as many of the story elements from the last section in this story. And I want you to tell us the beginning or the end or both? What do you think the point was?

What did you gain from this? What do you think we can gain What lesson but here's the thing, don't just record it once and throw it up here. That defeats the whole purpose, I want you to build in yourself this habit of really looking at your video figuring out what do you like? What do you not like? Are you missing some elements? Go do it again.

Are you speaking too quickly? Slow it down? Are you forgetting to pause? to whatever again, this time with a pause, or your hands frozen, do it again and unfreeze them. So I want you to get used to editing yourself. We're used to think of editing as typing at a keyboard and clicking with a mouse.

Now, that's not what you're going to do when you're a storyteller. You're going to edit by listening and watching yourself figuring out what works, what doesn't work. Don't put it up here until you're convinced it's the best you can do at your current skill level. I don't mean you think it's perfect. I don't mean you think it's great and shouldn't be changed at all. I just mean I want you to Go through several drafts, delete the old ones and just upload one video that you think represent you at the best you can possibly do.

Go ahead and do that right now.
