This is you're going to be discovering more details about 3d worlds in Photoshop, and how it can be converting a flat 2d design like that one into something like that, where you can be also animating that scene if you would like or add textures, lighting, and so on and so forth. So let's first close that one and starting from scratch, not going to be saving that camera movement. And quickly before we start guys, if you don't have the 3d option in here, then you can also be applying the tutorial on your PC. And that's probably because you need 64 bit Photoshop version and you can check that one by going to help then you can be choosing system information and you need to make sure that you have a 64 bit version. You can find it in here and also that you have in your PC.

A minimum of VM or video Ram 500 megabytes. And also online 3d within Photoshop or any 3d application can be stressing your PC. So let's go quickly to preferences. To make sure that we're having a quick performance on our machine, go to application menus and selecting preferences for Windows users, you will be finding preferences in your edit menu, then we can start by selecting performance. Here you can be increasing ram for Photoshop will be socking your Rams if you would like to go all the way to hundred percent maybe, or maybe 90% or 80. However, that will be giving you a very good performance within Photoshop at will be making other applications very slow.

So maybe you can be doing that if you're going for 3d design, or maybe a heavy layered complex design. Then we can be selecting 3d. Here as you can see we have a whole VM capacity used for Photoshop. On the right side we have shadow quality, it's set on high, you can be selecting low or very low while you're making your 3d scene, then later it can be bringing that one up before you render your scenes. And also you can be selecting for high quality threshold, you can be selecting lower high quality is two to five, you can go to one or two, depending on how strong your PC for renders tile size you can be using that one a bit. And now let's go back to our file pressing cancel.

Probably going to be converting those two layers in here into 3d ignoring that one for now. This is just for adding the color theme for Adobe Photoshop. So first, we're going to be starting by type selecting our type. And there are many ways to be 3d type. First, while you're selecting your Type Tool, you will be finding that option here to create 3d out of your type. Of course you need to make sure that you're selecting also your type layer and clicking that one.

Now we are in 3d mode and we can see that we have 3d panel in here and our time also in 3d however, let's undo that and discover another way to do it, Command Z. Selecting our Layers panel once again, we can do that also by going to 3d and selecting new 3d extrusion from selected layer, which will be adding a third dimension to our type, or we can be right clicking or layer going all the way to new 3d extrusion from selected layer. However, before we do that, let's also convert that one to shape since we're not going to be editing that pipe later. And right click once again. New 3d extrusion from selected layer. Now we can start working on that one however, we need to add also a background to our type.

So Going back to layers banner. Scrolling down we have our background layer, including that color in here, we can be right clicking that one to convert it into 3d as well by selecting either postcard, which will keep that one as a 2d background layer, or you can be creating an extrusion out of that one. So I'm going to be selecting new 3d extrusion from selected layer. And also guys, instead of using a solid background, you can be using an image in here and you can be selecting maybe a postcode option, maybe having a concrete at the background bricks or maybe a wooden background. However, in that case, I'm going to be using a solid background color, creating a new 3d extrusion from selected layer. Now we have converted those two layers into 3d layers.

However, we need to unite them in the same 3d space as each of them now in a civil 3d space. So going back to layers, we need to be Selecting those two layers, our P s layer and also our layer one, which is our background layer missing command to select those two layers, then we can be merging those layers pressing Command or Ctrl E or we can be going to the hamburger menu and selecting Merge Layers. Now we can see P is fourth, and I'm going to show you guys how we can get it back. So let's go to 3d panel. And you can always find that one in window you can find 3d in here and also can be selecting workspace 3d if you'd like to go into 3d mode anytime, however, let's see how we can be bringing our type back. So here in our banner, we have environment and we have scene and we have our layers.

So we have layer one, which is our background layer. And also we have bs pipe So if we select that one, we can see that outline in here, I don't really know if you can see that one guys. However, if we try to place that one on top of our layer one, it's not going to be affecting that, or getting our type back. And the reason why is that the S word is inside that 3d layer. So now we can start by discovering our cameras. To see what's really going on in here.

As in 3d, we can be moving either our camera to see a different angle, or we can be moving our elements, which in that case is our background layer and also our type. So we're going to be starting by rotating our cameras. So we need to select instead of p s, which is our type, we need to be selecting seen, or mainly we need to be selecting current view. By clicking that one, we can be moving our cameras. And here we have our camera controls. And that one will be our thing or 3d camera.

So if we stand outside of our 3d scene or our layers, make sure that you are moving your camera from outside till you fully understand how it's working in 3d mode. So I'm going to be teaching that one. As you can see guys, we have our layer, our background layer converted into a brick having a third dimension or extrusion, and actually our type inside that one having almost the same width. So in order to fix that we need to be selecting or type and you will find more controls for your time and your progress is when you have in here where we can be scrolling down, and we have extrusion depth, we can be changing our extrusion depth, or we can be moving our time outside. So let's start by moving or die first, then later we can be changing our depth as well. In order to move our element to can be hovering over any of these three axes.

In here we have x y, z, where we can be moving our element in three directions. If we hover over the Z we can be dragging or ps4 all the way to here to get it out of that box or that layer. And we can move it up if we want to using the y axis, or we can be moving that one on x axis as well, to move it right or left, just like that. And if we hover to that gray box and here we can be scaling our time as well. Bar dragging up or down to scale it up or down. And now we can be reducing width for our type by reducing extrusion depth.

We can be sliding that slider maybe to 11 millimeters or we can be typing values in here, maybe five millimeters instead. Then can move it back once again slowly the z axis also can be reducing depth for our background layer by selecting or layer and using the maybe to 10 millimeters and also can be changing the way it looks from progress as well as well. Of course you can be editing source to edit or rectangle if we want to, and can be scrolling up a bit, we can be selecting from any of the shape presets to maybe make it look like that. Hello inflate. Now it's covering our time once again however, we're going to be undoing that later or can be moving earlier. We have so many shapes in here where you can be trying guys if you would like or get back to extrude as tools.

But let's start select something with a frame so can see different options for frames. You can be resetting different at any time by clicking that one, or you can be controlling your deformation by clicking that icon. Or we can be controlling also extrusion from here, or twisting or shape, maybe a bit, which is completely missing or shape in that case. So let's get that back to zero. And also, we have a temper option where it's going to be affecting your cell dimension in here. And also we can reset that one.

And also we have more options for horizontal and vertical angles of our shapes, where you can be missing with that one guys to get different reasons. And also, we have camp options for our shape, where we can be controlling or frame so here we have that control where we can be changing that cheap instead to maybe something simple like that. And it's affecting our frame or maybe ashore, one like that. And we have control For width and angle, if you would like to change even that width, or even the angle or that frame, and for inflate options, you can be adding a strength to inflate your shape, maybe like that, and you can be changing your inflation angle as well. However, let's reset the formation for our shape as we completely missed that one up. And here we have coordinates option for or shape.

We can be moving that one around by controlling x, y z axes, or we can be rotating our shape also from three axes, or we can be enlarging or scaling or shape as well. So here we have x dimension and we have y and z. And always you can be resetting any of these values anytime. So now let's select our type once again, and selecting or miss outcome or our 3d shape as mesh. We'll be referring to To 3d shape and can do the same want to add a shape preset to our type, we can be selecting from any of these shapes. However, I'm going to leave it as this for now.

And Let's Discover even more about 3d camera movement. So it can be changing our scene how it looks like. So here as we said, we have camera controls, we can be all things selecting that one we can be hovering outside of our layers, and rotating or camera hover, we need to be selecting our current view instead of BS. As now we are rotating or type. So I'm going to be undoing that pressing Command or Ctrl Z. And switching to current view once again, we can be rotating or fitting our scene.

Now to zoom out we can be selecting that icon here and moving away from our scene. Boys by reading outside now we need to be an hour To lift so need to be selecting that icon and then in like that and also can be sliding our 3d camera by selecting that one to slide your camera or move it to another scene in your 3d can slided insight toward your scene or outside as well like using a camera crane in videography, you can imagine it like that which is really cool and also can be rotating your camera by selecting the icon in here or you can be adding a rotation maybe for a design purpose you can be applying that and also instead of moving your camera using these icons in here, here in our progress barrel we have Zeus options. while selecting current view so can be selecting view instead of custom view tool can be Selecting default, or you can be selecting left.

As you can see, we have almost a 2d layer, sickening that one by selecting our background layer and going to extrusion. And it's for some reason only point three five millimeters. Sometimes it gets glitchy. So I'm going to be adding some depth 10 millimeters as close and clicking outside apply that selecting our current view, discovering another view. Instead we can be looking to that from bottom or top or selecting default camera. And now maybe we need to be moving that one to center again.

So I'm going to be selecting vs layer or our type layer and hovering over that x axis and sliding that one to center and also, maybe go For why moving on down a bit. And here while we have any of our layers selected, we have that option in here to scale our element where we can be selecting that one. And now we can be hovering also to center and scaling that one up a bit, maybe all the way to here. Now selecting or current view on again, or putting or camera selecting the icon, moving our scene to here, maybe to an angle like that, so we can be seeing our third dimension. And also here we have our second review and that one is our main view. You can be selecting different views from here, either instead of top you can be selecting default, which will be giving you that scene or top once again, which is giving us our two layers in here including zero dimensions, or can be selecting instead.

That may be something like rights or we can see our two layers. And if we have more exclusion in depth, they will be more obvious to you guys. Or you can be switching views if you would like to sweb main and secondary view, or of course you can be closing that one if you don't like that view. Anyway guys in our next video, we're going to be learning how to add materials to our 3d layers and how we can be rendering our scene.
